Having implemented Optix in our first practice 2009, I can honestly say I've never looked back and would do so again without a moment's hesitation. It is a very comprehensive, well thought-out practice management system and has allowed us to do so much, from refining and improving the day-to-day Read more running of our practices through to running sophisticated database enquiries helping us to contact our patients and drive the business forward. I was initially wary of using a web-based system due to concerns about security and reliability but, bar the odd short wobble in broadband supply (due to external factors) it has been pretty seamless, and actually having a system which is easily accessible remotely has proved an absolute lifeline when the unexpected has happened.
Optix is constantly evolving to try and meet it's users' requirements, and the support team are extremely helpful and approachable. The facility to be able to raise any issues and debate the system's intricacies in the Usergroup forum is also so helpful. I doubt it is possible to create a 'perfect' one-size-fits-all system but it is certainly nice to be listened to and have your comments taken on board and I think this is probably as close as it gets!

Being able to have a global look at all your appointment diaries in all of your stores at the click of a button when confronted by a patient wanting to be seen that day is invaluable. Sending electronic dispensing orders could not be easier. Most importantly having the ability to log in manually when you lose internet connection gives peace of mind that you will never be left in a position that you are unable to serve your patient. Trevor and the team are a great support and with the Optix user group yearly conference you are able to influence the way the system is developed.

Having abandoned other Management Systems I was initially apprehensive about trying another system. However following recommendations from several colleagues I decided to install the Optix system. As expected it takes time to get used to the system but the support team is excellent, they are always Read more there to guide us through any problem, even if we make the same mistake twice.
Rather than adopting the full system from Day One I am adding components as our confidence improves and we are able to change haw the practice functions. I am confident that before long we shall be "paperless".

I find the level of support second to none and all the staff are extremely capable of resolving any issues which may occur. Optix are continuously improving and responding to user feedback making this software an evolving product. Optix is not just an extremely effective clinical and business software it also comes with the benefit of a forum which facilitates Optix users dialogue on all optical and business topics. For me this unique package makes it the obvious choice for any progressive optical practice.
